Actor, singer and musician Ian Fairlee appeared in the Off-Broadway production of THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE (Musicals Tonight) as Dromio of Ephesus, alongside his twin brother Matthew. Other Off-Broadway roles include Freddy in THE UNDERCLASSMAN (Prospect Theatre Company) and Sommers in FOOLERIE (NYMF). Ian can also be heard singing background vocals on the acclaimed 2019 concept album for Ryan Scott Oliver’s newest musical THREE POINTS OF CONTACT. He is a proud member of AEA.
In June 2019, Ian made his professional voiceover debut as the narrator for the Smithsonian Channel documentary SMITHSONIAN TIME CAPSULE: BEYOND STONEWALL, which tells the story of the LGBTQ+ community in America through an exploration of rare artifacts in the Smithsonian collections, predominantly from the National Museum of American History.
Previously, Ian earned rave reviews and was named Best Featured Actor in a Musical by BroadwayWorld.com Raleigh for playing Jerry Lee Lewis in MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET at Theatre Raleigh and Cape Fear Regional Theatre. He also played Lewis in MDQ at New Stage Theatre in Jackson MS. He has also performed at The Millbrook Playhouse, Hersheypark and Universal Studios Hollywood. An accomplished pianist, Ian often works as an accompanist, and his original songs have been performed at New World Stages, Urban Stages and 54 Below. Ian is a native Californian living his dream in New York City and a proud alumnus of the BFA Musical Theatre program at Pace University School of Performing Arts.
